Krasniy Yar wind farm (Ulyanovsk region) is a unique pilot project for the creation of Russia’s first industrial wind power park. The farm is built by Finnish Fortum. Project investment is estimated at 65m EUR. Plant capacity is projected at 35 MW: the wind park will have 14 wind mills 2,5 MW each. The generated energy will be delivered to the common grid. The letter of contract for establishing the consortium to build the wind power plant in the Ulyanovsk region was signed in November 2016. Fortum entered the Krasniy Yar site in December 2016.
DMG MORI Machine Tools Plant in Ulyanovsk saves a high portion of energy costs due to a complete energy solution. Power generated from renewable energy-sources enables to cover 11% of plant’s energy demand. Every year a total of 280,000 kWh of electricity is generated in the in-house energypark, which is located on the territory of the plant.
